The First Week
Monday 5th September saw the entrance foyer of the Prince of Wales Island International School filled with our first intake of students, their parents, and the new staff.
The previous afternoon the boys and girls who are the pioneer boarders arrived to unpack and familiarise themselves with their new surroundings, before acting as part of the welcoming team the following morning. This was just one of many special moments on this day, and a day the staff and construction teams had been looking forward to for a long time.
The teaching began on Tuesday, and the routines of lessons, meals, activities and school transport got off to a strong start with remarkably few problems along the way. Now on our second week, in many respects it is hard to imagine that the school has only been operating for five days.
We hope that interested families will have the time to visit when the school is in full swing, and we will also continue to welcome enquiries during the weekend and holiday periods.
