AIMS Conference 2017

The Association of International Malaysian Schools (AIMS) conference at POWIIS last weekend, brought teachers from all over Malaysia to a packed day of speakers, workshops and networking. Described by one attendee as ‘the best organised event I have ever been to’, it was the result of a lot of work by all parts of the POWIIS community. The sponsored charity ‘The Lost Food Project’ was supported by many of the attending schools, giving their staff an entry into a draw at the end of the day. Courtesy of our good friends at the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa, a luxury weekend for two was an unexpected treat for a staff member from Tenby International school, Ipoh.

Keynote speaker Sam Waterfall (of Obv!ous Cand!date) travelled from the UK to share his thoughts on improving life and career prospects for young people currently in our schools. POWIIS would like to thank all involved, including the support of colleagues within MTT.
