Ms Suzie Allen – Curriculum Leader (Languages and Culture)

Ms Allen grew up in the South-west of England and went on to read English Language and Literature at Exeter University. She completed her Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Secondary) at the University of Plymouth. Suzie joined POWIIS in 2015 and is the Head of English: a role that allows her to share her love of language and reading with the POWIIS community not only through the curriculum but also through whole-school events like World Book Day.

In her new role as Curriculum Leader of Languages and Culture, Suzie and her team will be continuing to promote and celebrate the rich diversity of language and cultures at POWIIS. Suzie is very much looking forward to bringing all of the languages at POWIIS together under one faculty to be able share the wealth of experience and talent that exists within the subjects that continuously lead our students to some of the highest exam scores in Malaysia. Her new curriculum team will be pleased to hear that all of her team meetings are accompanied by delicious baked goods from her own kitchen.
