A delegation of Year 12 and 13 students travelled to the NEXUS International school in Putrajaya to take part in a Model United Nations (MUN) conference this weekend (Feb 22 – Feb 24). They were challenged to question global issues and drafted resolutions on a variety of concerns including: disposing of chemical weapons, protecting the rights of minority groups, addressing drug addiction, curbing racism in the Middle East, and the trafficking of exotic animals. MUN ignites the intellectual curiosity of students and helps them become more academically and socially aware as they debate and seek solutions to these and other global issues.
