POWIIS Primary Students Back to School + Virtual assembly celebrating International Women’s Day

We were excited to welcome the POWIIS Primary students back to their classrooms today.

In addition, we had a virtual assembly celebrating International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day has
been celebrated on 8 March for over 100 years and recognises the social, cultural, economic, and political
achievements of women. This year’s theme is #choose to challenge and Mr. Sherwood and his team shared Malala’s story. Malala was chosen for her courage to challenge gender stereotypes and bias against seemingly insurmountable odds.
