We wish our Year 6s, heading off to secondary school in September, the very best. Transitions can leave us with mixed emotions. We may feel sadness about losing something we are comfortable with but at the same time feel great anticipation and excitement about the new beginning. My advice is to be brave and pursue everything you are passionate about – you are ready!
You will develop in the coming years, physically, academically, socially and emotionally. Life won’t always be easy, everyone faces storms at times- but remember storms always pass. Remind yourself to enjoy the journey, embrace the challenges, laugh lots, be true to yourself, work hard, avoid comparison and above all else – be kind (to yourself and all)
I will leave you with a quote from the 16th Century Professor Martin Luther…‘We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it, the process is not yet finished, but it is going on.’Congratulations on your Primary School Graduation, Year 6s.
