The weekly assembly today saw presentation of medals to some our students who excelled at sports.
Tennis: Sena Sakai in Year 7 is technically in the Under 12 category but her coach thinks that this is not challenging enough so has placed her in the Under 14 category. This is the second time she has participated in this category and so is still unseeded. She plays against older, and seeded players and still manages to shine.
In early February she competed in Pahang and achieved:
Semi-finalist U14 singles
Finalist U14 doubles
and 3rd placing U14 doubles
MSSPP Golf Tournament – Penang state-level Girls U15 on 19 – 20 February 2020: Qiao En Kau – 3rd place
MSSPP Swimming: Special mention to 3 students who finished in the top 3 and will represent Penang
schools in the National Championships:
Daniel Taylor – 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals
Debbie Low – Bronze medals
Quincylla Firdaus – 1 silver, 2 bronze medals
The assembly rounded up with a special piano performance by Bernice Ooi in Year 10, who played Ballad in G minor by Brahms
