Despite the frightful reality that we are living in, we should not forget to help the people in need. That is why this 6th of November, our POWIIS Secondary community will come together (physically distanced of course) in their “scariest” costumes for “Scare to Care 2020”, the seventh edition of our annual Halloween fundraiser.
An initiative by the LEO Club of POWIIS in aid of communities and frontliners affected by COVID-19, proceeds from the non-uniform dress up event will be directed towards sustaining the operations of St Nicholas Home for the Blind as well funding essential items for our Penang medical frontliners. We look forward to sharing with you the creativity of our community as they “scare to care”.
Besides contributions from students and staff who dress up in fancy costumes, the LEO Club welcomes the support from parents, be it monetary donations or essential items such as food, masks or PPE for the frontliners. Please contact Mr. Darren Lim ([email protected]), advisor of the LEO Club if you wish to make a contribution.
Together with the community around us, we will survive and bounce back better!”
