Visit From The Police

7 November 2019

Our Year 1 children had a visit from the Police today! Continuing their community topic, they learnt how the Police help us and why we consider them superheroes in the community. One of the highlights was when the officer activated the siren and flashing lights on the police car and motorbike. Some children were brave enough to sit in the car and on the motorbike with the help of the police officer! The EYFS children who were nearby also came to have a look when they heard the sirens. It was a lot of fun. The children learnt about how long it takes to become a police officer, when handcuffs are used, what the minimum height is in order to apply for the police force and many more interesting facts. This was definitely a memorable experience for all the children.
