POWIIS Primary Drama

Drama supports children in many ways from thinking creatively to promoting empathy and working collaboratively. This term, in Years 1-3, the children have taken part in the ‘Integrated Drama Curriculum’ (IDC). The drama lessons have linked in to their Integrated Curriculum topics. The children have learnt to develop characters, create freeze-frames and present wild weather reports. Linking drama with the curriculum has supported the learning of vocabulary and phrases in a practical, creative way. Alongside the IDC, Year 4 and 6 have started their production rehearsals for ‘Tuishi Pamoja’ and ‘The Sound of Music’.
