Year 4 Science

In Science this week, Year 4 have been investigating the three different types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. They started the week by identifying rocks by their appearance and texture. Then they explored how different types of rocks are formed through a combination of heat and pressure; students recreated this process in the science lab by using chocolate! It was great to see the students thinking scientifically and applying what they learnt from their experiments to the real scientific process of rock formation
