World’s Scholars Cup

POWIIS has been an active member of the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) community for the past decade and a half, playing host as well to the regional round in Penang.

Through WSC, students have the opportunity to develop competencies in critical thinking, writing and debating, while exploring a dynamic annual curriculum which encompasses diverse areas of learning in science, history, social studies, literature and the arts.

Besides building their confidence and competence, WSC creates an affinity for the academics through its fun and engaging format. Scholars, as the participants are called, enter at the local stage in the regional round, where they earn the chance to qualify to the Global Rounds held at various cities across the world.
